Making more friends in New York. I met local Brooklyn photographer Imari DuSauzay (on the right) and local African clothing designer, Brenda Brunson-Bey (on the left) during an impromptu photo shoot in our local neighborhood. We caught Imari’s eye during our photo shoot in our neighborhood and Nia posed with her dogs. During the photo session, my mom signaled Brenda over as she was driving by. To our surprise, she and Imari are good friends and were planning on meeting up during the last day of the 43rd Annual International African Art Festival in Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. My mom and I met Brenda yesterday at the festival were we purchased this wrap skirt/dress and custom tailored clothing.
